Utstilling

så langt i utstillingsperioden har jeg solgt åtte innrammede fotografier. I tillegg har utstillingen medført fin omtale i lokalavisene de siste dagene. Alt i alt er jeg veldig godt fornøyd!

I morgen er siste sjanse til å skaffe seg bilder som julegave. Bilder bestillt i løpet av morgendagen, mandag 22.12, kan hentes tirsdag kl. 16 i blblioteket på Frekhaug (eller hjemme hos meg hvis det er å fortrekke).

Første dager av utstillingen.

De første dagene av utstillingen har ført til flere salg og fin omtale i lokalavisene. Sånn sett så er målet mitt allerede nådd. Hvis noen av dere som leser dette har vurdert å kjøpe bilder så kan det trygt gjøres nå for prisene kommer helt sikkert ikke til å være like lave når utstillingen er over! Velkommen skal dere være :-)

Utstilling i Meland.

Fra lørdag 13. desember vil et utvalg av mine bilder henge i biblioteket på Frekhaug (i senteret).

Totalt blir det rundt 18 natur og landskapsbilder i sort-hvitt og farge. Det vil være fotografier fra Meland og resten av Nordhordland, samt en del fra andre steder på Vestlandet. Bildet over er ett av de du vil kunne se.

Bildene er til salgs. Her er det muligheter for å skaffe en unik julepresang med lokalt preg!

Utstillingen varer frem til 17. januar. Velkommen.

Lenge siden sist innlegg...skal ALDRI gjenta seg!

Travle tider, men det er ingen unnskyldning for ikke å droppe noen små innlegg her av og til.

Har vært den siste uka på Kvitsøy. Tolv timer jobbing hver dag, men og tid til litt fotografering og fuglekikking. Har alltid vært intressert i fugler, men nå har jeg løftet interessen, og etter hvert også forhåpentligvis kunnskapen, til et nytt nivå. Denne turen har jeg f.eks. sett fuglekongesanger, svartrødstjert, islom, smålom, vandrefalk og fjellvåk.

Så har jeg og tatt noen bilder om kveldene. Et par eksepler over.

Nå er det hjem for å ha tre uker fri!

Birds!

Autumn migration for a number of birds have started and as I spend some time at Kvitsoy I try to photograph some of the species stopping here on the island. This is not really a good place compared to i.e. Jaeren, but still I manage to capture some birds with my telephotolenses :-)

Today I spent the evening trying to get some shoots of a small group of dunlins. I was sitting in the mud under a camuflage net and with my wetsuit on when suddenly a sparrowhawk attacked the wading birds. Probably I moved a litle just before the hawk almost hit me. This most likely resultet in a lost evening meal for this bird of prey! Lucky dunlins :-)

The sparrowhawk landed on a small hill a bit to far away to obtain any good quality images, but I still decided to include the image to illustrate the story. See above.

Whale in Sognefjord!

On sunday some friends and I went for a boattrip in the outer part of Sognefjord. During the crossing of the fjord we spotted som black "rocks" far away. Approaching slowly and stopping the engine allowed us to get as close as 25 meters from the animals. Very nice to hear the sound they make when breathing and their special warning sounds. Sadly, not all the pictures turned out to be of the best quality, but still, above are some of them.

Last wedensday Ellen and I returned from our vacation to Jostedalen, Jotunheimen and Dovre. Almost the whole week was sunny and hot. Closer to 30 deg C. Actualy a bit more than I like in the step mountains in these areas. We got to the top of two mountains during this week. The first one was Fanaraaken, 2005 merters above sealevel, Getting here involved crossing a glacier and climbing a steep snow ridge. The second one was Snoehetta, 2286 meters above sealevel. At Snoehetta we spent the night on the summit in my small tent. At Dovre we met Musk oxen several times. Se pictures.

During this week we also padled on a mountain lake in Jostedalen where the front of the glacier was going into the lake. Here we both bathed among "icebergs" too!

Four days more...then vacation!

I am on pilot duty untill wedensday and above are a few images captured the last three days.

The plan for the vacation is to go hiking in the mountains, but plans can be changed untill the last moment because of my grandmother is ill and also the weather can change plans. Have a nice weekend!

Today Ellen, Thomas, Per Johan and myself spent a some nice hours at the local beach in Vallevika. Sunny, 28 deg i the air and 20 in the water!

We came back from vacation at the lighthouse a few days ago. Here are a couple of pictures. More will follow later, both text and photos.

Summer vacation :-)

This year, as the two prevoius, I and my children will spend almost one week at Homborsund lighthouse. This year Ellen and her two children wil join us. I will of course use my cameras a lot and hopefully produce some nice images both for the family album, blog and website. For sure it will be al lot of fishing, some bathing (the weather forcast does not look very promising, but better than here in the Bergn are a) and a couple of trips to the zoo/amusement park in Kristiansand.

Later this summer Ellen and I will spend one week in the mountain area Dovre.

Completed 14 days duty...

Today I completed my to weeks on duty as pilot for this time. Three weeks leave :-)

I spent this weekend in Gulen. During a short fishing trip on friday and a somewhat longer mountain hike on saturday a was able to make some nice photos. I will post a few of these later today!
